Lighting of the
Christmas Tree

6:00 p.m. in Glover Park

Kick off the holiday season with The City of Marietta’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The fun begins at 4:00 p.m. with performances by local school choruses. Santa makes his grand entrance via a City of Marietta firetruck at 5:20 p.m. followed by the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree at 6:00 p.m. Additionally, children can meet Santa until 8:00 p.m. that evening.

6:05 p.m. in Glover Park

The annual holiday tradition of Festival of Trees returns to Glover Park this season! Stroll through the magical forest of trees and be inspired by the creativity of our very own Marietta City School students. These beautiful themed trees will come to life shortly after the arrival of Santa on the Square and prizes will awarded in four categories.  Visit our Winter Wonderland with friends and family and enjoy what will certainly be one of the most photographed spots of the holiday season!
